Patriarchal Delegate to Manthalir Church Arrived

                     Patriarchal Delegate to Manthalir Church H.E.Mor Chrisostmos Michael Chamoun (Lebanon) was given a warm reception at Cochin International Airport by H.G.Mor Athanasious Elias. Parish Vicar Rev Fr.Geevarghese Zachariah,  Diocese Secretary Fr.Joseph Varghese, Fr.James George, Parish Trustee K.M. Mathai, Jubilee Convener Dr Jose D Kaippallil Consecration Convener Adv A.C Eapen Youth Association Secretary Tittu Mathai and many other Parish members were also present. Patriarchal Delegate has arrived in Malankara to attend the Post-Centenary Golden Jubilee Celebrations and for the Holy Moorn Consecration of the renovated Manthalir Church.

CLERGY CONFERENCE ON TUESDAY

        As the part of Post-Centenary Golden Jubilee of the Manthalir Church, the Clergy Conference of the Thumpamon Diocese of the Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church will held on June 18th. Diocesan Metropolitan Mor Militheos Yuhanon will inaugurate the conference.

EYE CAMP

The eye camp which I posted yesterday was conducted today and was very successful, hundreds of people utilized the opportunity. Vicar Rev.Fr.Geevarghese Zacharia presided over the meeting and  Kulanada Panchayat president Elsi Joseph ingurated the camp. District Panchayat member Johnson Ullanoor was also present at the occasion. Some of the pics are added below.

FREE EYE CAMP AND CATARACT SURGERY

           As the part of the Post-Centenary Golden Jubilee Manthalir Church in association with Ahalya Eye Clinic will be conducting a free eye check-up camp tommorow(10th May 2013). Camp begins from 8.30am, no advance registration is needed. Camp will be held at the St.Peters Nagar Kulanada, (Near Govt.hospital/ St.Peters chapel Kulanda).
           Expert Doctors from Ahalya Foundation will be present there. For selected Patients who require further treatments will be given free of cost. Eye Glasses will be available in the camp at reduced rates.So all are requested to make use of this golden opportunity.

          Eye Donation awareness classes will also be conducted as the part of the camp. Those who are interested in donating the eye can sign the acceptance letter there itself

PAINTING WORKS STARTED

Painting works have re-started here at Manthalir Church. Electrical work and interior works are progressing here very fast. Photos are uploaded here, other details will be updated soon.

ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS CLASS

                              Deaths caused due to road accidents are increasing these days. Thousands of people die in Kerala alone in a single year.So as the part of the Post Centenary Golden  Jubilee Celebrations, Manthalir Church in association with Kerala Motor Vehicle Department is organizing a Road Safety Awareness class on 27th Feb 2013 at Kulanada St.Peters Ground. Shri Aby John, RTO Pathanamthitta will inagurate the meeting and Shri Reji M Varghese, Joint RTO Pathanamthitta will lead the class. Notice of the program is attached below.

               ഈ വര്‍ഷത്തെ മാന്തളിര്‍ കണ്‍വന്‍ഷന്‍ feb 20 മുതല്‍ 22 വരെ കുളനട St.Peters നഗറില്‍ വച്ച് നടത്തപെടും. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും വൈകിട്ട്  6നു  സന്ധ്യാ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനയും, അതിനു ശേഷം St. Thomas Church Choir ആത്മീയ ഗനാപലാനവും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും, അതെ തുടര്‍ന്ന്  തിരുവചന പ്രഘോഷണവും. എല്ലാ ദിവസവും രാവിലെ 7.30കു പ്രഭാത പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനയും തുടര്‍ന്ന് 8.30കു വി.കുര്‍ബാനയും ഉണ്ടായിരികുനത് ആണ്.

                 ഒന്നാം ദിവസം(feb20) ഫാ.ജിജു വര്‍ഗിസ്  വചന പ്രഘോഷണത്തിന് നയിക്കും. രണ്ടാം ദിവസം (feb 21) ഫാ.അഭിലാഷ് എബ്രഹാം, മുന്നാം ദിവസം (feb 23) ഫാ ജ്യോതിസ് പൊത്താറ എന്നിവരും തിരുവചന പ്രഘോഷണം നയിക്കും.

            St.Thomas യൂത്ത് അസോസിയേഷന്‍ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില്‍ കണ്‍വന്‍ഷന്‍ നഗറില്‍ ബുക്ക്‌ സ്റ്റാള്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുനത് ആണ്. പരി.സഭയുടെ പ്രസിദ്ധികരണങ്ങളും ക്രിസ്തീയ പുസ്തകങ്ങളും ബുക്ക്‌ സ്ടള്ളില്‍ ലഭ്യമാണ് .

    This years Manjinikara തീര്‍ത്ഥയാത്ര from Thumpamon Diocese Western Region concluded yeasterday. The തീര്‍ത്ഥയാത്ര was started from the Manthalir Church at 8 in the morning. Hundreds of devotees took part in the തീര്‍ത്ഥയാത്ര. Mezhuveli Church alos joined with the same. Warm reception was given at Oonukal St.Elias Simhasana Church by Rev. Fr.Samson Varghese. തീര്‍ത്ഥയാത്ര reached the tomb of മോറാന്‍ by around 1 P.M.

        തീര്‍ത്ഥയാത്ര സമാപന സമ്മേളനo was held in the evening.  H.B.Catholicose Baselious Thomas I presided over the meeting and H.G. Polycapus Augin Aydin, Bishop of Archdiocese of Holland was the Patriarchal Representative was the cheif guest. Bishops of the Syrian Orthodox Church, Clergy and thousands of people attended the function. In the function Rincy Raju of Manthalir Church was given the മോര്‍ അഹതുള്ള ബാവ memorial award and Elavanamannil Scaria Malpan memmorial award for achieving First place Sunday School tenth standard examination in Thumapamon Diocese. Also Dhanya Mariam Joy of Manthalir Church was given the Elavanamannil Kuriakose Kashisha memorial award for securing second place in the diocese.
